All competitors completed and returned all required documentation electronically days before the events, and with just limited access to the paddock office, over the weekend.
Scrutineers would check all Competitors’ safety equipment (helmets, overalls, seat belts, Hans Devices etc.) prior to the events starting at 9:00 in the drivers’ paddock bay and also make checks on a small number of competition cars, during the two days.
Also joining the competitors from the Harewood Championship regulars were competitors from the MG Car club, Austin 7 cars, 500 Owners Club, and the Nottingham Sports Car Club.
Spectators were limited in numbers and it was by advance ticket sales only, purchased online.
The spectators would be cheering the drivers up the Yorkshire hill not only for the final time during the 2021 season but also the two Champions that would be crowned.
The awards ceremony will take place in November at the Holiday Inn in Cleckheaton.
Greenwood Cup.
Saturday turned out to be nice and sunny, which in the afternoon felt quite hot, though we did have a breeze towards the end of the day but thankfully no rain.
The competitors had two practice runs before the lunch break and three timed runs in the afternoon.
The marshals had to deal with a couple of “offs”, which also involved the Extractor Rescue Team and Ambulance. Thankfully the drivers involved were given the all clear.
Adam Riley in his Honda S2000 car #91 set another new 1B Class record in his third timed run. This Class is for Road Cars Series Production over 1400cc up to and including 2000cc.
This record was also was quicker than the 1C Class record which is for Road Cars Series Production over 2000cc and two-wheel drive.
This further extended his Championship lead and with Chris Berrisford, who did not take part this weekend but still managed to retain second place after Saturday’s meeting.
Bob Bellerby driving a Sylva Riot, car #173, remained in third place
In the BARC Harewood Fastest Time of the Day (FTD) Championship, Richard Spedding was not at Harwood on Saturday, so John Prickett driving his Radical PR6, car #185 is now joint first with Richard.
With Bob Bellerby driving his Sylva Riot, car #173, he was second in Class 3F but still managed to hang on to third overall in the FTD Championship.

Mike Wilson Hillclimb meeting.
Sunday’s weather forecast didn’t sound too clever but we only had a small shower mid-morning, leaving the track a little greasy.
Competitors had two practice runs before the lunch break and three timed runs in the afternoon.
Although during the third timed run it clouded over, the clouds were much darker, the light dropped and the wind picked up.
A couple of meetings ago the marshals had to deal with an escaped sheep on the track.
Sunday saw a flock of ducks which kept flying onto the track, and although this was also a problem on Saturday the ducks seemed to be more problematic on the Sunday.
Adam Riley driving his Honda S2000, car#91 is crowned the 2021 Harewood Champion.
A very surprised Tracey Wise driving her Lotus Elise, car #161, who was fifteenth before the Greenwood Cup event on Saturday and climbed up to tenth after that event, finally finishing second overall.
Bob Bellerby driving his Sylva Riot, car #173 reminded third.
Richard Spedding driving his GWR Raptor, car#4, not only set a new Class Record for 5D but he also won the 2021 Harewood Fast Time of the Day Award Series.
John Prickett driving his Radical PR6 car #185 finishing second, and David Tatham driving his OMS Hornet car#195 finishing in third place.

Many thanks to BARC Yorkshire centre for the opportunity to be track side throughout the 2021 season. Not forgetting all the Marshals, Medical, and Extractor Rescue teams without which the season could not have taken place.
