How to Watch British Superbikes in 2026

British Superbikes TV Coverage 2026: Where to Watch BSB and How Much It Costs

The way fans watch the Bennetts British Superbike Championship is changing again. With the launch of HBO Max in the UK, streaming coverage of British Superbike Championship carried by TNT Sports is moving away from Discovery+.

While the TV broadcaster for BSB remains the same, the shift to HBO Max affects how fans stream races, what apps they need, and how much it costs to watch online. Here’s everything fans need to know about watching British Superbikes in 2026.

The Streaming Shift: Discovery+ to HBO Max

Until early 2026, TNT Sports content—including motorsport coverage—was streamed through Discovery+. That is changing.

When HBO Max launches in the UK on 26 March 2026, the TNT Sports streaming service will move from Discovery+ to HBO Max as part of a wider strategy by Warner Bros. Discovery to consolidate its entertainment and sports content into one platform.

Existing subscribers will typically transfer their accounts automatically, meaning fans can log in to HBO Max using their previous Discovery+ credentials.

Importantly, this change affects online streaming only—the TNT Sports TV channels themselves will continue to operate normally on pay-TV platforms.

Where Fans Can Watch British Superbikes

For viewers in the UK, BSB coverage generally remains tied to TNT Sports. Fans can watch through several routes:

TNT Sports on Pay TV

The TNT Sports channels remain available through traditional television providers such as:

  • Sky
  • Virgin Media
  • EE/BT TV

These services broadcast the same live sports coverage as before, including motorsport programming.

Streaming via HBO Max

The biggest change is for fans who prefer streaming. After March 2026, TNT Sports streams will be available inside the HBO Max app or website, rather than Discovery+.

The app is expected to be supported across many devices, including:

  • Smart TVs
  • Game consoles
  • Streaming devices like Fire TV and Roku
  • Mobile phones and tablets

This effectively turns HBO Max into the main online hub for Warner Bros. Discovery sports content in the UK.

Additional Free-to-Air Coverage

While premium coverage sits behind pay-TV services, the British Superbike Championship typically maintains some free highlights or delayed broadcasts through partner broadcasters (Quest) and the official championship channels online.

The British Superbike race highlights will still be shown free on Quest.

Quest can be found on Sky Channel 144, Virgin Media Channel 169, BT TV Channel 12, Freeview 12 (Freeview +1 on channel 70) and Freesat 167.

How Much It Costs to Watch BSB

The cost structure depends on how fans choose to watch.

HBO Max Entertainment Plans

The basic HBO Max entertainment service starts from:

  • £4.99/month (Basic with ads)
  • £5.99/month (Standard with ads)
  • £9.99/month (Ad-free Standard)
  • £14.99/month (Premium plan)

However, these plans do not include sports by default.

TNT Sports Streaming Package

To watch TNT Sports—including motorsport coverage—fans need a separate sports package. TNT Sports on HBO Max: about £30.99 per month

This is roughly the same price fans previously paid for TNT Sports through Discovery+.

Bundled Options

Some providers may bundle HBO Max or TNT Sports into their TV packages. For example:

  • Certain Sky subscriptions may include the ad-supported HBO Max plan.
  • TNT Sports can also be offered as an add-on through partner services like Prime Video or TV packages.

Why the Change Is Happening

The shift is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s wider strategy to combine sports and entertainment into a single global streaming ecosystem.

Over the past few years the company has:

  • Merged BT Sport with Eurosport content to form TNT Sports
  • Closed or phased out several niche streaming platforms
  • Consolidated sports and entertainment content under HBO Max

The goal is to create one app where fans can access everything from Champions League football to motorsport and TV shows in the same place.

What HBO Max Means for BSB Fans

For fans of British Superbikes, the practical impact is fairly straightforward:

What stays the same

  • TNT Sports remains the main broadcaster.
  • Live TV coverage continues on the same channels.

What changes

  • Streaming moves from Discovery+ to HBO Max.
  • Viewers may need to download a new app or sign in again.

Watching BSB Live - The Costs

  • The TNT Sports streaming price remains around £30.99 per month.
Viewing Option Platform What You Get Typical Cost Best For
TNT Sports via Pay TV Sky / Virgin Media / EE TV Full live race weekends and motorsport coverage £25–£35 per month depending on package Traditional TV viewers
Streaming via HBO Max HBO Max app with TNT Sports add-on Live streams of TNT Sports channels Around £30.99/month for sports add-on Fans who prefer streaming
Highlights / limited coverage Free-to-air partners and official channels Race highlights and delayed coverage Free

The Bigger Picture for BSB Fans

The arrival of HBO Max represents another step in the ongoing transformation of sports broadcasting. As rights holders and media companies consolidate platforms, fans increasingly need multiple subscriptions or bundled services to watch their favourite sports.

For the British Superbike Championship, the streaming companies hope is that the new platform brings better streaming technology, improved apps, and wider accessibility—without pushing the sport further behind paywalls.

For us the BSB fans it means you will still have to pay to watch live whatever package you choose. This is a two edged sword, increased revenue into the sport and better online coverage could be helpful to promote a great domestic race series globally. For the fan on a budget it’s not good news. However, Quest will still show some races live and the highlights. Also the race highlights are available on social media. So you will still be able to watch BSB as you did last year for free but not in real time.

Bottom line

  • TNT Sports stays the home of British Superbikes on TV.
  • HBO Max just becomes the streaming home for TNT Sports content.
  • So the coverage itself shouldn’t change much—just where you stream it.
