The spectators would not only be cheering the drivers of four wheeled cars up the Yorkshire hill but it was the annual visit of the two and three wheeled, Motorbikes and Sidecar outfits.
Though these spectators would be limited in numbers and it was by advance ticket sales only, purchased online.
You can purchase your tickets for the last two events of the 2021 season (Greenwood Cup on 18th September and Mike Wilson Hillclimb on 19th September) from here; BARC (YORKSHIRE)
All competitors are continuing to complete and return all required documentation electronically days before the event and with just limited access to the paddock office on the day of the event.
Scrutineers would check ALL Competitors safety equipment (helmets, overalls, seat belts, Hans devices etc.) prior to the events staring at 9:00 in the drivers paddock bay and would also make checks on a small number of competition cars, during the day.
Also joining the competitors from the Harewood Championship regulars would be a hand full of competitors from the TVR Car Club and a dozen or so from the Classic Marques Speed Challenge along with the Motorbike and sidecar riders, mainly from the National Hill Climb Association Club.
The sky was full of grey clouds for the whole day but thankfully we had no rain, which was a very nice change to all the rain we have had during the 2021 season.
The competitors had two practice runs and a timed run before the lunch break, though the marshals had to deal with a couple of off's in the first and second timed runs, which also involved the Extractor Rescue Team and Ambulance.
Thankfully the drivers were given the all clear. Despite this most competitors got four timed runs.
The motorbikes and sidecar outfits would compete for a chance to be involved in a top ten run off after their timed run.
Top three result for the run off:
1st Bike #14. KTM ridden by Paul Jeffery
2nd Bike #3. KTM ridden by Glyn Poole
3rd Bike #5. KTM ridden by Guy Ursell
